Meet the Artist
 

NIADA artist, Bill Nelson is an internationally recognized illustrator, sculptor and ventriloquist figure maker.  His one-of-a-kind figures and automata have made their way into the private collections of Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, David Copperfield, Bruce Willis, and Richard Simmons, among others.

Bill’s award-winning illustrations have graced the covers and interiors of The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, Newsweek (10 covers), Time, TV Guide, and the Atlantic Montly to name only a few. His advertising clients include Estee Lauder, Columbia Pictures, Sony Records, Gore-tex, Reebok, the Kennedy Center and Demi Moore.

He has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums worldwide, including the Norman Rockwell Museum.

Bill’s illustrations have won 900 awards including two gold medals from the New York Art Director’s Club, and two silver medals from the Society of Illustrators.

Bill Nelson is listed in Who’s Who in America.  He currently lives and works in North Carolina.
